Igatpuri - Vihigaon - Ashoka Waterfall

Weekend near Mumbai

Hello friends I had very wonderful weekends with my friends. We went to Wild Camp which is near Khodala village in Thane District, Maharashtra.

It was normal and clean place. Even the path till there was green and cool. We enjoyed beauty of Kasara Ghat through out the way.

But what make my weekend awesome was Ashoka Waterfall.

On the way to Khodala (Wild Camp), from NH3 we took left (as we were coming from Mumbai). After few mintues span, on our left hand we got one mile stone as Ashoka Dhabadhaba.  On left there was one small raw path. We decided to go to check out that waterfall as we were early for our destination.

On left path ahead, we got small village called Vihigaon. It is really very small village. There is one small school which had lots of empty space. We parked our vehicle near by the school and went near the sound of waterfall.

There were few people going for Water Rappling. Instead of going behind them, we took path towards small forest. From there we got full view of waterfall. It was amazing view. We got excited and started finding way to reach there.

Then we found one small path among the big stones to get down. Carefully we started to get down from that path. It was very slippery and stones were moving.

After 10 to 15 minutes we reach near the base of waterfall.

And then what? We all jumped and enjoy. There were no one. Only we friends. The water was clean and transparent. When we went exactly below waterfall, we felt current going through our body. It was mind-blowing thrilling experience.
